Server Job Description

Job Summary:

Culture Curators (CC) is the general title for all Kindred staff. They are the spirit of Kindred and represent its connection to kinfolk. Their collective responsibility is to ensure joyful experiences via culture and cocktails while embodying Kindred DNA.

Servers play an integral part of creating a memorable experience for our kinfolk. Their main responsibility is to provide excellent customer service by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guest satisfaction. The ideal candidate should have a friendly and outgoing personality, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred.

Roles & Responsibilities

Customer Service

  • Greets and welcomes guests as they arrive with the standard Kindred greeting
  • Provides friendly and positive guest experience
  • Ensures all the phone calls are answered promptly within 3 rings
  • Personally waters Guests during low volume hours, gets water to VIP tables, and/or makes sure Guests are aware of water stations and are hydrating during service
  • Provides menu features or specials and personal recommendations if needed
  • Serves beverages (alcoholic & non-alcoholic) & food to guests and Servers while exceeding Kindred Spirits standards.
  • Ensures all drink orders arrive within 7 minutes of order.
  • Ensure all snack orders arrive within 10 minutes
  • Collects proper payment for all products served.
  • Clears table/bar top within 3-5 minutes of Guest completion
  • Ensure table/bartop is clean and reset within 5-10 minutes of Guests' exit

  • Counts and verifies current inventory including bar supplies, smallwares, complimentary items, and janitorial supplies.

  • Retains invoices for Bar Manager

Functional & Sanitary Guest Area

  • Ensures all areas of the work site are Guest Ready
  • Sweeps inside and outside the property
  • Removes trash from lawn and walkways
  • Cleans all windows and glass panes
  • Ensure menus/table toppers are fully stocked and clean
  • Dust TV screens and décor
  • Sanitizes restrooms

Roles & Responsibilities

Daily Sales Reporting

  • Spreadsheet Management (Must be Google/Microsoft proficient)
  • POS proficient and able to pull and analyze reports in Arryved
  • Daily (or scheduled) Deposits to banking institution

Scheduling and adjustments

  • Understands Budget management, labor cost formulas, and the basic premise of labor management
